MGA Singles Match Play
-Saturday, June 6 – 8:00am Shotgun
-Format Field of 65-127: Stableford, top 64 advance. Players will receive 100% of their Course Handicap calculated on Friday 6/5.
-Field of 64 or 128: Match Play Round 1. Players will receive 80% of their Course Handicap calculated on Friday 6/5. Matches will wheel off the lower handicap player. Deadlines for subsequent matches will be communicated at a later date.
-The field will be flighted based on player handicap indexes and number of participants.
-Tee Box Selection Players can select Black, Blue, or White tees and must declare at sign-up. Tee box selected for June 6 round must be used in all subsequent rounds through the bracket.
-Sign up will be available on the ForeTees app beginning Thursday May 28 at 1:00pm and will close on Wednesday, June 3rd at 11:59pm
-Entry Entry Fee is $60 per person. Entry includes prizes, meals, and keg beer following play.
-Rules: USGA rules along with Lantana MGA local rules will govern play. THIS IS A DENTON COUNTY SHOOTOUT QUALIFYING ROUND.
Players must play through each hole to NET TRIPLE BOGEY. Net Triple Bogey is the max score for Denton County Shootout qualifying purposes. Live Scoring on the Unknown Golf system is required. Be sure to select the correct tee box on the drop down menu before beginning play. If you do not know how to operate Live Scoring, please ask the golf shop or a fellow member for assistance prior to the start of the round.
-Modified Rules Flagsticks must remain in the holes at all times. Players will be permitted to lift and clean their golf ball, rake the sand with their foot or hand, and place the ball within a grip length of its original lie in all bunkers.
-Tie-breaker method Net best ball for holes 10-18. If still tied, net best ball for holes 13-18. If still tied, net best ball for holes 16-18. If still tied, net best ball for hole #18.
-Optional Cash Skins Games $50 Year Long Skins Game: You may enter by signing up with the Golf Shop prior to the start of the round. You can sign up at any time throughout the year, but your skins will only count for rounds played after your entry fee has been paid. $20 Daily Skins Game for June 6 round only. You may enter by signing up with the Golf Shop prior to the start of the round.
