WGA Two Person Match Play

Theme: Kentucky Derby

Entry Fee:

$80 per player

Registration:

Registration opens April 2nd at 7:00pm. Please register as a full team. 

Note: The 10 stroke differential between partners is in effect for this event. If players are more than 10 strokes apart in their playing handicaps, the higher handicap will be reduced to bring them within 10 strokes of their partner. 

Format:

2 Person Best Ball Match Play. This event will count as the first match of the full event. Winners will advance to the next round. Following the conclusion of play, 2nd round matches will be announced. Players will schedule any remaining matches on their own and in accordance with deadlines set by the WGA. 

Matches must be complete by Labor Day weekend.

Tees and Handicapping:

All players will play from the red tees. A valid GHIN handicap index is required to play. For 2026, the maximum allowed playing handicap is 36. Please contact the golf shop if you need assistance with your handicap.

This event will be played at 90% of the player's handicap.

Pairings:

This event does not use flights. First round matches will be set using the combined team handicap index. 

Payouts:

Winners will be paid out in cash for 1st and 2nd Place following the conclusion of all matches. Split 60/40.

Prizes will also be awarded for Best Dressed Team!

Cancelation Policy:

Any cancelations after 12:00pm Tuesday, April 28th will be charged the full event fee.
